Who We Are
Kelly Ludwick is the founder and owner of the Firm. He is an employment and business attorney with over a dozen years’ experience in private practice at top national law firms, and 18 years as in-house counsel for Chick-fil-A, Inc., one of the most respected companies in the country.
Prior to retiring from service with Chick-fil-A, Kelly served as Vice President, Legal - Employment, Franchising & Litigation at the
company. In that role, Kelly led the Legal Department’s:
employment-related advice
risk management and employment litigation
commercial litigation
pre-litigation dispute avoidance
dispute management
franchise law






Kelly joined Chick-fil-A, Inc. in 2005 in the Corporate Legal Department.
In his earlier years at the company, he led Chick-fil-A, Inc.’s labor and employment legal work as well as handing a wide variety of other legal matters including (but not limited to) contract negotiation and drafting,
intellectual property, marketing and promotions, commercial litigation, and certain regulatory and franchise-related matters.
Prior to joining Chick-fil-A, Kelly was a partner in the Labor & Employment Law Department at the national law firm Hunton & Williams, LLP. His private practice focused on defending companies on a nationwide basis in employment and other civil rights litigation
matters, advising employers on a wide range of employment law and human resources issues, and designing and facilitating training
programs.
Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in organizational behavior & management from the University of Houston (1989) and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law (1992). He also completed the Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Kelly is active in various charitable and non-profit endeavors. Kelly is currently serving as a member of the U.S. Board and mission/impact trip Team Leader for Pray America (based in Lansing, Michigan). For over 20 years, Pray America has operated a robust ministry under the name Manos de Jesus in the Chichicastenango, Guatemala area. Kelly is currently Vice-Chair of the U.S. Board for the ministry Untold+ (based in Atlanta, Georgia). Untold serves those with HIV/AIDS in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa. Kelly is past-President of the Lakeside High School Dugout Club in DeKalb County, Georgia. He also has served in various leadership capacities with his church, including service on the Stewardship Team of North Point Ministries.
Kelly and his wife, Julie, have two adult sons Jack and Charlie, and a rescue dog named Teddy.
